Depression
Depression

Depression is often associated with a lack of energy and desire to do anything. Many clients will struggle with basic hygiene or getting out of bed. Or they can find it hard to connect to positive emotions. My approach is supportive as I help clients recognise their strengths, build self-esteem and regain confidence. This encourages the client to create change – no matter how small. Repeated sessions may help the client to reach a more positive mental well-being.
Symptoms of depression may include:
-
Persistently feeling upset, saddened, helpless or emptiness, anxious and/or restless
-
Fluctuating appetite resulting in weight management issues
-
Irregular sleeping patterns
-
Hobbies and activities no longer bring fulfilment
-
Physical symptoms such as body aches pain, headaches, digestive issues ( IBS) and a lower pain threshold
-
Decreased libido
-
Loss of memory and inability to focus on tasks
-
Little or no energy and/or fatigue

I will focus on creating a positive mental attitude and recognise all your existing skills. Collaboratively, you will gain greater sense of self worth
